Get ready for an amazing line-up of workshops, speakers, and discussions, with lots of chances to meet other campaigners, share ideas and get inspired! Imagine a world where instead of fuelling conflict and repression, the UK took real action to tackle the biggest threat we face: climate change. That world is possible – if we shift priorities from arms to renewables. At the National Gathering, learn more about CAAT’s new campaign, “Arms to Renewables”. Hear from Owen Jones (author and commentator), Sayed Alwadaei (democracy activist exiled from Bahrain), and the authors of Deception in High Places and the forthcoming Arming Apartheid. Take part in workshops on challenging London’s arms fair, pushing the arms trade out of public life, making the shift from arms to renewables, arming all sides in World War 1 and more!
