BAE worried not enough students want to work for them

July 5, 2012

The head of BAE Systems UK is worried that not enough young people are taking STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths) for all the jobs needing engineering-friendly skills.

He also acknowledged that fewer and fewer students want to work in the arms industry because of ethical concerns.

STEM subjects are really important but it’s time we trained engineers to develop green technologies not weapons technologies!

By refusing to work for arms companies, and by encouraging others to do the same, we can really make an impact on the ability of these companies to continue their devastating work.

Join our Ban BAE campaign and help kick arms companies off your campus. Get in touch for more information.
